The Meeker Bulldogs and third year head coach Randy Ragland have two points of emphasis heading into the new season: discipline and consistency. The Bulldogs only graduated two players off their roster from last year’s team and are looking forward to a productive season. “Our young guys gained valuable experience last year and we’re excited to see how we continue to progress and put things together this year,” Ragland said. Treyvon Compton (5-8, So.) returns after a great freshman year when he led the Bulldogs in scoring with averages of 17.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. Compton
showed the ability to score in bunches and he has been working to expand his game. Expect him to have
a tremendous sophomore campaign. Braxton Bussell (5-10, Sr.) is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and makes
an impact on both ends of the floor. Bussell is a floor general and is at his best when he is facilitating the
ball. Last year he averaged 13.0 points, 3.0 rebound, 4.0 assists, and 2.0 steals. Coaches are expecting a
big jump in production this year from Ean Watham (6-3, Jr.) who has worked hard all offseason to expand
his game. Waltham has a high motor and brings a lot of energy to the floor. He has good size, length, and
athleticism and can play a variety of roles that gives the Bulldogs versatility in their lineups. Manny
Saavedra (6-1, So.) made an impact as a freshman and coaches expect even bigger things from him this year. He can play out on the wing as a two or three and is a solid defender with quick hands and can score from all three levels on the offensive end. Devin Sligar (6-0, Sr.) has put in a lot of time in the gym and weight room this offseason. Last season he was one of the Bulldogs most reliable defenders and
is expected to have more of an impact on the offensive end this season. Asa Watham (5-9, So.) is a great
leader in the locker room and on the floor. Although he is young, he has a veteran mentality. Other players to look for include: Jason (5-10, Sr.), Connor Wolf (5-11, Sr.), Logan Devereaux (6-3, So.), Cayde
Kerensky (6-2, Sr.), Jesse Tucker (5-7, Sr.), Peyton Doss (5-7, Jr.), Michael Adkins (5- 8, Jr.), Aiden Hessman (6-1, Fr.), Bryce Bussel (5-8, Fr.), Brodey Manning (5-9, Fr.), Jace Bias (5-11, Fr.), Iziah Ashley (5-5, Fr.), and Titus Grimes (5-7, Fr.).
