MEEKER BULLDOGS

Coach: ALLEN POTTS

3-7

OFFENSE
In his second season as head coach and eighth season with the team, Allen Potts said the team returns a good core group of upperclassmen. “The kids have really bought into the weight room, and we expect those results to translate on Friday nights. After graduating several seniors last year, there will be some voids left to compete for throughout the spring and summer. We have a good group of young men that are working hard day in and day out and they are very eager for the upcoming season,” said coach Potts. Keagan Edmonds (5-9, 170, Sr.) is back after missing his junior season due to an injury. A dynamic player, Edmonds will boost the offense with his return. Roanon Wolford (6-2, 210, Jr.) will see time in the backfield with Edmonds. A physical player, Wolford is a hard runner and tough to tackle. Johnnie Brown (5-10, 170, Jr.) will look to stretch the field at wide receiver and Caden Cartmill (6-1, 175, So.) is a young QB who can add to the run game and get the ball to the open man downfield. Carson Bailey (6-5, 245, Jr.) and Titus Grimes (5-10, 240, Sr.) will anchor the offensive line. Also look for Jay Wilbourn (5-10, 155), Ryker Whittenburg (6-4, 175,), Elijah Miller (6-0, 250) and Brady Wahpepah (6-6, 255).

DEFENSE

Seven starters are back on defense including Wolford and Edmonds at linebacker. Wolford has started at LB since his freshman season. Wolford made 74 tackles as a sophomore and 104 tackles as a freshman. Brown will join the linebacker corps in the 4-2-5 defense. “Our emphasis defensively is on alignment and relentless pursuit of the football. We will have good size up front and a group of physical skill kids behind them that can run,” said coach Potts. Bailey will start at defensive end where his speed off the edge will cause problems for opposing offenses. Nick Park (5-6, 140, Jr.) will start at safety, while Gunnar Enochs (5-11, 165, Jr.) will lock down one of the corner spots. Look for Wilbourn in the secondary as well. Up front, Grimes, Oske Bemo, and freshmen Bryston Bizzell and Ledger Williams will be called on this season for big plays in the trenches.
