VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Alivia: Showing people you can be a good student as well as a determined athlete. As well as feeling supported by other people in the school, like teachers, classmates, and peers in the hallway is my favorite part of representing my high school as an athlete.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?

Alivia: Lebron James, he’s a leader and a great basketball player. He shows he looks up to other players as well and can always learn something.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Alivia: Haylie Lovejoy, she’s one of my travel teammates. She’s such a kind soul and she works so hard. I just love being around her as well, always making me laugh.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Alivia: My favorite part about being on team is the bonds I make with people I probably wouldn’t have ever talked to. I’ve made so many memories and life-long friendships through this sport.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Alivia: Basketball has helped me stay focused, the hard work comes with rewards. Im passionate because I know I didn’t put all this work into the game just to treat it like it’s nothing to me.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Alivia: My mom always tells me “Be a good person, no matter how bad people are” and this goes for everyday life and even on the court. Sportsmanship can go a long ways.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Alivia: Communicate! Things are hard to do if there isn’t talking involved.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Alivia: My grandma’s spaghetti !!!

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Alivia: I want to thank Coach Myers, my current high school coach. She has help me mature in a short year and half of my high school basketball experience. She has help me grow on and off the court.
