2025 Shawnee Area Players and Underclassmen to Watch – Presented by Gordon Cooper Technology Center

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Luke Quinter – Bethel

Luke has split time at running back the last three years. He has carried the ball for 1,982 yards and 26 touchdowns throughout his career. Last season, he added 19 two-point conversions. On the defensive side, he is a menace at linebacker and can be depended on to accumulate a lot of tackles.

Austen Bred – Bowlegs

A senior, Bred will see time at running back and wide receiver and will have an impact on the Bowlegs’ offense.

Wyatt Seeley – Holdenville

He is the player that you will immediately notice if he is off the field. He runs the ball violently from the wing position, but also blocks linebackers like an offensive lineman. On defense, he is a solid coverage linebacker.

Koi Street – Maud

Koi is an outstanding leader who is already displaying great leadership abilities as an incoming freshman. No one will outwork Koi on his way to being the best wide receiver and defensive back that he can be. He excels at all sports and is truly a student of the game in each sport.

Trey Reid – McLoud

Great kid with an even better work ethic, and he is only a sophomore.

Keagan Edmonds – Meeker

Edmonds looks to be an impact player for the Bulldogs on both sides of the ball. He will be carrying the rock at running back on offense, while on the defensive side, he will be working to keep the big plays to a minimum at linebacker.

Donavon Garfield – Seminole

Donavon is a four-year starter who plays on both sides of the ball. He is a great athlete and competitor who brings speed and strength to the field.

Kaden Bramlage – Shawnee

Returning Lineman of the Year for District 5A-3, Bramlage is a three-year starter who will be a key player for Shawnee this season.

Peyton Moody – Strother

He is a staple of what his team does. Everything on offense and defense depends on him. Great speed and toughness.

Jekhi Owens – Tecumseh

Explosive, fast, shifty, and a great kid. He has the potential to play at the next level.

Ladarious Woods – Wewoka

Star player in every sport that Wewoka has to offer. He had an exceptional freshman season. Plays both ways and makes plays wherever he is on the field.

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

Ridge Cator – Bethel

Ridge was Bethel’s eighth-grade quarterback and safety in 2024. He will bring a lot of talent to the field and should make an impact when given the opportunity.

Sawyer King – Bowlegs

King is a sophomore offensive lineman and a great team player.

Jeffrey Redmond – Holdenville

Amazing athlete on the field and a great kid off the field. He will hold his teammates accountable. He has the feet of a tight end, but he has a nasty streak that intimidates many peers. He has a lot of potential.

Juliouz Brown – Maud

Juliouz is a well-rounded athlete who can play anywhere on the football field. He has been asked to play several different positions, ranging from nose guard to cornerback. He is a hard runner with the ball and is always around the ball on defense.

Phoenix Lopez – McLoud

Super athletic and will help in any position. Natural thrower of the football with great feet.

Bryston Bizzell – Meeker

Bizzell is a solid kid and is ready to do whatever it takes to help his team.

Jamar Williams – Seminole

Williams could be a big-time player when it is all said and done.

Garrett McCurdy – Shawnee

Freshman starter on defense and a two-way starter as a sophomore. Garrett registered 47 tackles on defense last season. Huge potential to be an explosive weapon with the ball in his hands.

Isaac McAllister – Tecumseh

He is a big talent. Will be a key player for Tecumseh and can play a number of positions on the field.

Landon Tiger – Wewoka

Will find a way to get on the field early. Has great vision at the running back position. Very quick, and his burst through holes in the offensive line is amazing.
