MCLOUD REDSKINS

Coach: COLEMAN RAMSEY

5-5

OFFENSE

McLoud returns to the field with a wealth of experience, particularly on the offensive line, where the top seven linemen are back. “We are a team returning a ton of experience,” head coach Coleman Ramsey said. The offense will be highlighted by versatile senior Shaun Hill (6-1, 180, Sr.), who can play running back, wide receiver and quarterback. Last season, Hill showcased his versatility with 132 yards passing and two touchdowns, 152 yards rushing with two touchdowns, and 249 yards receiving with two touchdowns. “He is dangerous with the ball in his hands and can take it away and score on defense,” Ramsey noted. The offense will also feature Garrett Hall (6-1, 230, Sr.), Camden Mendenhall (6-0, 240, Sr.) and Gavyn Morgan (6-1, 240, So.), all returning starters on the offensive line. Rylan Mitchell (6-0, 180, Jr.) and Kaden Mendenhall (6-0, 150, Jr.) will provide additional options at quarterback and running back. “We will use an 11 personnel spread offense with lots of shifts and motions to attack the defense and create confusion,” Ramsey explained. With eight returning starters, the Redskins’ offense aims to be dynamic and adaptable.

DEFENSE

The McLoud defense will operate from a 3-4 base, focusing on an aggressive approach. “We look to attack rather than sit back on our heels,” Ramsey said. Shaun Hill will also be a key player on defense, showcasing his versatility. The linebacker corps will be strengthened by Peyton Smith (5-11, 180, Jr.), who is returning from a torn ACL, and Weston Hughes (5-11, 210, Sr.). The secondary will feature newcomer Ladamian Williams (6-3, 170, Jr.), who has a huge ceiling, and Easton Coronado (5-8, 160, Jr.). On the defensive line, Kade Lynch (5-11, 220, Jr.) will be a key player. With eight returning starters, the Redskins’ defense is expected to be a powerful unit this season.
