2024-2025 Tecumseh Lady Savages Basketball – Presented by Natalie Arnett – State Farm

Coach: Eldon Gentry

23-24 Record: 15-11

OUTLOOK

Similar to what the boys team is experiencing this season, the Lady Savages are dealing with the loss of several seniors and looking to a handful of underclassmen to help this team make a run this year. Head coach Eldon Gentry likes the prospects on the roster.

“Lady Savages are excited for the new season and the changes it brings. After graduating four starters, the Lady Savages are excited about what this season may bring and the players that are stepping into the spotlight. We think this team has a chance to be special with some young players getting their chance to run the show,” said coach Gentry.

One of those exciting young players is freshman guard Peyton Bays (5-5, Fr.). Bays is what many coaches call a pure shooter. She can score in multiple ways and is a standout player on the court. Bays is not alone on the court. Players like Katie Overstreet (5-1, Sr.) and Jessi Hull (5-3, Sr.) have been in the trenches for a while and bring experience to the court. Overstreet is known for her work ethic and team-first approach.

Another player to watch is Janya Bruner (5-8, So.) at forward. With tremendous athleticism and talent, Bruner is quickly becoming one of the top players on the team. Understanding the nuances game and matching that with her athleticism is the goal this season.

Other players who will make contributions this season include Kiarra Stallin (5-11, Sr.) at center, Kaydee Lewis (6-2, Sr.) at forward, Lilah Meeks (5-9, Sr.) at forward, Aaliyah Stargell (Sr.) at guard, Allecia Permetter (5-7, Sr.) at forward, Sadie Winlock (5-8, Jr.) at forward, Cadence Leba (5-5, Jr.) at guard, Jaylie Anerson (5-7, So.) at forward, and Haley Mansell (5-8, So.) at forward.
