OFFENSE
Led by sixth-year head coach Ty Bullock, Tecumseh’s offense will employ the old school Wing-T offense with Hollin Barnes (5-9, 160, Jr.) taking the reins under center. Barnes tossed eight touchdowns and 686 passing yards as a sophomore in limited action and “has really worked hard and gotten stronger” this offseason. Dom Frizzell (6-1, 252, So.) will share reps at fullback with Braxton Meier (5-10, 188, Jr.) and Dom Frizzell (6-1, 250, So.). Marquan Krush (6-2, 181, Sr.), Ross Griggs (5-9, 190, Sr.) and Zant Shirey (5-5, 130, Jr.) will provide their talents to the running back room. Tight end Keegan Plumley (6-4, 225, Sr.) will be crucial to the team’s ground attack. Marcas Judah (6-0, 193, Jr.) can fill the other side for double-tight-end sets. Receivers Darrien Clark (6-2, 180, Jr.) and Kaeson Pine (5-10, 165, Jr.) return after seeing significant playing time as sophomores. Jaxon Kuhn (5-9, 145, Sr.) and Aiden Boone (6-2, 165, Sr.) round out the position group. Three starting offensive linemen return, led by Conner Murray (5-8, 201, Sr.); Julian Borromeo (6-2, 227, Sr.), Bryson Cosper (5-11, 285, Sr.), Easton Flowers (6-2, 285, Jr.), Ryan Batterton (6-2, 235, So.) and Ted Belshe (6-3, 248, So.) will each see playing time.
DEFENSE
The Savages will base out of a 4-2. Krush is a three-year starter and the team’s best returning player at safety. Clark caught five picks last year, leading the team; Pine, Shirey and Jake Buttram (5-8, 145, Sr.) will battle for the last two spots. On the defensive line, Plumley will set the tone on one end and Judah will start opposite him. Frizzell and Braylinn Walker (5-11, 220, Sr.) will take care of the interior. Meier will start at Mike and bring his experience to the linebacking corps. Griggs will “use speed to play hash-to-hash” while Mason Wilson (5-7, 155, So.) will rotate in.
